God works in Mysterious ways!

I found myself surrounded by a wonderful group of ladies today, who were filled with God's love and desiring to "feed His sheep" in the pasture He has provided.  Local Pregnancy Centers!

I finally walked into the one here in my hometown and asked to be allowed to volunteer in what ever position they feel that I could fit in.  That was last week.  Today I began my first day of training, along with four or five other ladies of various ages.  Of course, I was the "Grandma" of the gang while others were "Younger"!

It was exciting to meet young women who are desiring to help those who are struggling with unplanned pregnancies and trying to decide what to do.  Most of the volunteers  have either "walked in their shoes" as I did, having been an unwed pregnant teen or in some cases older women just not ready to be a mommy yet, or a person who was just beginning to climb the ladder of success and a new baby might knock the ladder out from under them before reaching the top.

Some had experienced the walk down a wedding isle and survived marriage for a time, some had either experienced abortion personally or through a close friend or family member.  What ever personal  experiences led up to this day, now we are all praying we can guide others to make the right decision for themselves and the babies by providing information on alternate routes they may take.

If you are searching for a place to share your gifts and/or talents, these Centers are in most every town and in need of volunteers to help with the  many jobs to be done.  From Client Advocates to housekeepers, receptionist, drivers, and medical persons, the need is endless.  There is a need for people to help plan and carry through with Fund raising events, speakers for events, and so many more areas of expertise.

Don't procrastinate like I have done for a number of years.  Find a number and make that call--today!!

Pray for all the ladies who are facing this decision that they will choose to follow God and for all the volunteers who are waiting to love and comfort them through this time in their lives.

Thank you so much for vistiing my Blog Pages!

I was amazed when my husband, Gary, recently viewed some of my webpages!  He said, " Hon, did you know you have had over 500 views of these blog pages?"  I said, "I had no idea, no one seems to comment and that is the only way I am notified that someone has read one."

Many times I have considered closing up the Blog due to having no comments and believing no one was reading what I write.   There is a place I can look for stats but it would be so nice to hear what you have to say and where you are living!   It would also be nice to know if you have a subject you would like to discuss with other readers.

Have you written something you would like to share with my readers?  I would be happy to post your writings , providing they are inspirational or about some problem you think others may be able to help you with.

If you become a follower, then I will know that someone is reading my blogs.

1 Corinthians 13:7
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

As I read this verse in 1 Corinthians, seems it must have been written for only perfect people.  Those who never make a mistake or walk down the pathways I have trod.  Or perhaps the times in my life I am thinking of , I was not experiencing true love.  I think of love first as my love for a man who may become a marriage partner.  It has always gone sour and ended in divorce, until I met my present husband.

Of course, if this verse is speaking of the Love God has for us, then it is so very correct!

When I have walked through life, as it becomes impossible to endure another moment of a problem, I have found hope by turning to God for peace, knowledge, and love .  Then I realize I can endure long enough to decide what direction to turn, to turn the problem around.

And then I look at my children and grandchildren and the love I have for them is the kind mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13:7.   No matter what  trials they  have been through my love is always strong, my faith in their decisions to find the right direction hardly ever falters and I am always hopeful that they will find God and invite Him to be number one in their lives.

So, read the verse again and thank God for enabling us to experience His gift of Love ...
