Sing to the Lord!

Isaiah 12.5   Sing to the Lord for he has done glorious things.

What a beautiful verse!  Whenever I am singing Christian music, I feel the words as I sing. And I feel the Lord in our midst.

I was recently asked, "Do you worship with your music or just sing?" and at first I didn't know how to answer, had to think about what he was asking.  As I thought, I remembered what happened last week in church.

I had chosen to sing one of my original songs, "What would you do, if you had the choice?".  As I sang, I noticed certain people really paying attention and being "in Worship" as they listened to each word.  The people who attend First Christian Church always make me feel very special and loved and this day was no different, until one lady walked up to me and said, "you made my mother cry".  I said, "I'm sorry", and she said, "Oh no, it was wonderful. She told me she understands why I love to hear you sing so much because she was able to hear you today."

The mother is ninety-seven years old.  She can't always hear what is being said but for some reason that morning she was able to hear my song and my voice like never before and it brought tears to her eyes.

Then the daughter said, "You even made my cheeks get a little wet and I looked around and saw at least three others wiping their eyes."

So to answer the man, I replied, "I worship when I sing. Otherwise, there would be no need for me to be up there in front of those who have come to worship.

God gave me a desire to sing and I thank Him for allowing me to sing for Him.
What would you do, if you had the choice,
what would you do if you heard your saviors voice
would you listen to each word, would you open up your heart,
would you follow your savior today
